2020 The Busted Knuckle Classic Truck Show – Kaitlynn Bewley’s Coverage

The show has continued to grow exponentially over the last 10 years. From the very first show of 20 trucks, to this year having nearly 370 over the course of the weekend. This year was different from years past. As we all know, everything this past year was different, nearly every show across the country was canceled. With as many safety precautions in place as possible, everyone was ready for just a bit of normalcy, and the Busted Knuckle was still a go!

Mike Castaldi

What struck me most about Mike’s current ride, a 2003 Peterbilt 379, is the 80’s/90’s look it has going with the stripes flowing from the tractor to the trailer…

2021 LargeCarMag Family Gathering – Steve Ford’s Coverage

ith this being a new venue and date it was kind of like starting all over and we had to figure some things out throughout the day but it was an absolutely beautiful day and in the end a very successful show! Over 100 trucks came to spend the day with us helping raise money for the American Cancer Society/ Relay For Life in honor of Sal Castiglione.

Charles Hale

Charles Hale, of Russell Springs, KY owns this 1985 Peterbilt 359 extended hood, with a 3408 Caterpillar engine, and a 15 speed overdrive transmission.  A true largecar for sure, but as usual, its about the details.  That engine and transmission combination will set the stage for a very unique story, that very few have heard.

June 2021 Flashback

I caught this K100 fat cab at the Kenworth dealer in Newington Virginia that I would visit when I went to work with my dad.

June 2021 Days Gone By

Trucking in the oil fields is a tough, rugged and dirty job. These trucks were built and spec’d tough for the jobs at hand. In the 60s and 70s truck manufacturers were proud of the trucks they built and the paint jobs they applied. The owner operators in this industry took pride in their equipment but at the end of the day these trucks were the tools that made them money and not show pieces.
