The 2021 Amcan Truck Fest was held June 11-12th and once again I made my way out to spend time with all my friends from the Mid West. The Kimball family (Nick Kimball and Julia Mors in particular) once again treated everyone who attended like royalty and put on a fantastic event!
Finally, after 14 months with the Covid pandemic it was awesome to be back in Earlville for a truly special show. The 10th annual Midwest Pride in your ride show this year started off with unseasonable cold weather but warm at heart with 56 trucks with over 50 cancer survivors riding in the convoy.
When Scott Cornhill told me he was bringing a K100 Aerodyne to our spring show, The LCM Family Gathering, I was beyond excited and when Scott sent me pictures I was blown away! This 2000 Kenworth K100 Aerodyne was fully restored by Kenworth of Pennsylvania which is who owns it.
Ed Orella of Ed Orella Trucking based out of Vacaville California owns this 2012 Peterbilt 389.
I’m not sure where I caught this K100 fat cab but it was in the early 80s.

Pictured here, is a 2019 Peterbilt 389 extended hood, with a 72” (can we still just call it a 63”?) flattop sleeper. This truck, like others Bill has had, is a glider kit, and was mostly assembled in his own shop.
June 5th, 2021 was the highly anticipated date. The P.O.L team was ready, fully staffed and everyone in position as the first truck pulled into the RES Auction Center in Wooster, Ohio. Met at the gates, semi-trucks were directed to the left where they were parked according to their class… combo, bobtail, and straight truck. Hot rod cars, trucks and motorcycles pulled to the right for their cruise-in car show and all spectator traffic were sent straight to the parking lot directly behind the auction house centering the massive complex.
Each year in Indianapolis there is one of the greatest gatherings of every custom facet of the automotive world. Full custom street rods, import tuners, bikes, diesel 4×4’s, lowriders, classics, hot rod muscle, and semi-trucks and it’s called… Slamology.
Sizzlin’ Hot Trucks and Sizzlin’ Hot Weather EQUALS a SPECTUACULAR 2021 Wheel Jam Truck Show!!! Once again, the 18 Wheel Truck Promotions, LLC Crew produced the Annual Wheel Jam Truck Show in Huron, South Dakota at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds that was another SIZZLIN’ success!
Adam Johnson of Spring Valley Wisconsin is the owner of the 1984 Kenworth W900B (yes I said W900B) you see here, there’s a lot to go over with this very cool and unique ride but I want to start with some background on Adam and K&D Transport before we get to the build of his ride.
Brock Gadberry steers and gears this 2014 Kenworth W900L for Wylee Anderson at W.L Anderson Livestock and Grain out of Mead Nebraska.
I caught this pair back in the early 80’s. Its hard to tell but the first truck looks like an Autocar with an All American sleeper and obviously the cabover is a Freightliner.
