The truck that Darren drives is a 2001 Peterbilt 379 Standard Hood. He has made many changes to it since buying it. The most noticeable change, is the “ little big hood conversion”, which takes the slope out of the standard hood. Darren’s other truck is a 2000 Peterbilt 379 Extended Hood. This truck was purchased in early 2018, mainly to have as a spare truck.
Nick Desbouvrie owns this large 2005 Peterbilt 379. Nick hauls contaminated soil throughout New England, with a C-15 Cat under the hood backed up by an 18 speed transmission
Glen Mushnick, is the driver of this 1997 Peterbilt 379 extended hood, heavy haul truck. This truck is built for business, and certainly represents the New England style, from the set forward tanks, to the hand painted lettering and pinstripes.
Ralph Schut from Springfield Ontario Canada owns this 1986 K100.
Ed Orella of Ed Orella Trucking based out of Vacaville California owns this 2012 Peterbilt 389.
Ok, so maybe its not a LargeCar but it is a very well done hand built mini big rig. I think I caught this cool little truck in Doswell Virginia back in the early 80s.
I know its not a great picture but I thought I would share because it’s a little window Peterbilt.
We’re heading to the heat of Phoenix to introduce you to a cool operation in refrigerated transportation. In 1952 Ed Schaeffer began his trucking career with one tractor and a reefer trailer. From this simple beginning Ed and his wife Helen built a cross country refrigerated express company known as H&E Schaeffer Coast to Coast Refrigerated Express based in Phoenix, Arizona.
