2018 Brooks Truck Show

It was my pleasure to shoot pictures again this year at the Brooks, Oregon truck show for LargeCarMag. It was a full two days this year and a large number of trucks attended the show. This year the count was 331 trucks.

Timeless Chrome – LivLab Sleepers

We’re heading to Lake Park, Florida to introduce you to the newest innovation in sleeper comfort and cost savings. The year is 1979 and Gene Miller is an owner operator leased to Mayflower Van Lines. Like most owner operators Gene was always looking for ways to save money and increase his comfort while trucking. Gene checked out the latest sleepers available on the market but couldn’t find what he was looking for. When you have a background like Genes and the industry doesn’t offer what you’re looking for you build it yourself.

June 2019 Flashback

Paul Zook

Three years ago, Paul Zook was faced with a dilemma. With the ELD mandate fast approaching at that time, he knew he wanted to make a change, but was unsure which way to go. First, he considered a new glider truck, but wasn’t satisfied with the quality of the new trucks, even though it would be ELD exempt. Next, he even thought about getting out of trucking completely, but let’s be honest…we all think about it, but can’t do it. In the end, he decided on building a pre-ELD ride, almost from the ground up.
