David
Geer of Fruitvale, Texas is the owner of this incredible Peterbilt
379 'Marooned'. Unfortunately, I didn't get the opportunity to
do an extensive interview with Mr. Geer. But here are some specs
on his BIG ride. It is powered by a 600 cat and has a 13 speed
double overdrive trans. The Pete rides on a 325" Wheelbase to
accommodate the 120" ICT sleeper. Mr. Geer pulls a 48 foot utility
spread axle reefer with a one of a kind louvered stainless steel
panel under the reefer unit. He hauls produce between Florida
and Arizona. Both the tractor and trailer have custom artwork.
Some of the accessories that stand out on the truck are the 8"
stacks, a very nice drop visor, bras on both the front and rear
fenders on the tractor and the front and rear fenders on the trailer,
as well as, the front lower corners of the trailer. A custom neon
sign in the back window of the sleeper lights up at night with
the truck's name 'Marooned" and palm trees. Being Marooned wouldn't
be too bad as long as this truck is around.
