As
I was walking up and down the rows of show trucks at the Mid America
Truck Show this year, Bill Warner Jr's truck stopped me dead in
my tracks. You see this same truck was at the first truck show
I ever attended in 1986. The truck was one of the most incredible
trucks I had ever seen back then and with a few tasteful additions,
still is 15 years later. The 81 Pete 359 rides on a 280"
wheelbase to accommodate the 84" double eagle sleeper. Power
comes from a massive 3408 V8 Cat. And in true classic Large Car
Style, the trans is a 6 x 4 double overdrive. The House of Kolors
Brandywine candy paint is the same paint it had when I saw it
back in 1986 but the murals have been redone. Bill's truck also
features 8" stacks, a 20" bumper, 4 fuel tanks, 4 aluminum
boxes, a nice drop visor and over 900 nut covers.
On
the inside, it has custom stainless pieces on the dash, 22 gauges,
22 switches and the original interior in perfect shape. Since
these photos were taken, he has added a beautiful hardwood floor
to the tractor.
The
awesome trailer is a 2001 stainless steel grain trailer. The trailer
has 70 LED lights and 13 brake lights.
He
lives in Elkins, West Virginia and hauls grain and coal throughout
West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. In summary,
Bill and his family have done a great job building & maintaining
a fine looking truck and trailer. Please take a minute and review
the attached photos and see for yourself.
